Ruby has written a few personal words about the song : "Ain't cried in a Long Time" ........

"This song came about at a time when my world was upside down regarding my musical career. My Music Agent, who has been a wonderful support from the beginning, knew about the writing retreat in France and pushed very hard for me to be included on that years visit. I didn't know where I was going in France. I just had an air ticket and instructions to wait at the airport - "Someone will meet you there".

Well indeed I was met along with several others all bound for that secret location. There I was surrounded by writers and musicians from all over the world. I was on a magical musical planet. My creativity went into overdrive - 9 songs in 7 days, working with writers from New York, Argentina and Nashville. Ideas came flooding in, experiences, memories and emotions all playing their part.

A few weeks before leaving for France, an old flame got in touch and said he would like to visit me if that was alright. It was lovely to see him again, and because we parted on very good terms it made me think 'what if' ....maybe.... (I hadn't felt like this)' in a long time'.

Enough said - cue the video....."
