* December 2005 : Ruby Turner Website Newsletter - Issue 2 {Christmas} *

Hi everyone,

On behalf of Ruby and the Website Team, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a Happy Christmas and even happier New Year!

Ruby has been touring constantly with Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra for the last 2 months and is now looking forward to Christmas at home and a well earned rest after quite literally notching up thousands of miles during a 'life on the road'.

On a personal note, I had the tremendous good fortune to attend the last concert of the Jools Holland tour in Cardiff on Thu 22nd December and, as the RubyTurner.com official 'roving reporter', I have a couple of 'Christmas Goodies' I'd like to share with you.

The two links below contain a photo and short Movie from the Cardiff Concert of Ruby and Jools performing a lovely impromptu version of the Christmas Carol "Silent Night". It's a little Christmas Heart Warmer for you all to enjoy!

Quick "technical stuff" on the short Movie - it's 1 Minute 35 seconds long, and has a File Size of about 4MB {which means it might take 6-8 minutes to download on a dial-up modem?! Broadband ... just seconds!}.

Finally, a Christmas Message from Ruby :

"God bless you and have a wonderful Christmas. I'm so looking forward to a quiet time and resting my weary vocals now, never mind the thousands of miles we have all done this year.

It's been great and I'm so lucky to be working and to have friends and fans who come to see me at concerts makes it all worth while.

My wishes to all my fans is simply this - 1 Corinthians Chapter 13 :

-----------------------

If I speak in the tongues of men and angels, but have not love,
I have become sounding brass or a tinkling symbol.

And if I have prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge,
and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing.

And if I dole out all my goods, and
if I deliver my body that I may boast
but have not love, nothing I am profited.

Love is long suffering,
love is kind,
it is not jealous,
love does not boast,
it is not inflated.

It is not discourteous,
it is not selfish,
it is not irritable,
it does not enumerate the evil.
It does not rejoice over the wrong, but rejoices in the truth.

It covers all things,
it has faith for all things,
it hopes in all things,
it endures in all things.

Love never falls in ruins;
but whether prophecies, they will be abolished;
or tongues, they will cease;
or knowledge, it will be superseded.

For we know in part and we prophecy in part.

But when the perfect comes, the imperfect will be superseded.

When I was an infant,
I spoke as an infant,
I reckoned as an infant;
v
when I became an adult,
I abolished the things of the infant.

For now we see through a mirror in an enigma, but then face to face.
Now I know in part, but then I shall know as also I was fully known.

But now remains faith, hope, love, these three;

but the greatest of these is love.

-----------------------

"The GREATEST of these is LOVE. It's the only thing that will save us! Then we can share our joy and up lift each other, whatever our vocation.

Merry Christmas and God Bless",

Ruby x
