Inspired by BBC 4's television
documentary "Reggae Britannia" which she narrated, Ruby explains why
shedecided to release her reggae infused new single 'Leaves In The Wind'
|

"Having
had the enormous pleasure of narrating this amazing piece of British history, I
walked out of the Recording Studio, and headed for Carnaby Street feeling proud
and honoured to have been asked to do this.
|
|
| The
conclusion to this piece was that this music genre has had its day, I felt this
was an injustice and undeserved.
|
|
What happened
to me whilst ploughing through the many pages of the documentary was a roller
coaster of deep emotions.
|
|
| The history
of this infectious style of music, helped to bind communities and cultures with
its freedom of expression. Regardless of race and colour the many who embraced
it made it their own ….This was simply brilliant and a wonderful time as I
recall, making me proud to be British.
|

This music for
many was their food of love….So I say "play on"...
|
